By combining the fibres of organic cotton and polyester, a special technique can be applied to this fabric called burnout, resulting in a textural grid pattern. Lightweight and breathable, this fabric is paired back with a slip made in a smooth, stretchy Lenzingª ECOVEROª blend.
Cotton is a natural plant fibre. It is known for being breathable, durable and soft. Organically grown cotton avoids the use of harmful pesticides and chemicals in the farming process, helping to maintain good soil health, protect waterways and reduce nitrogen pollution compared to conventional cotton. The cotton fibre in this fabric was organically grown in India.
LENZINGª ECOVEROª Viscose is a man-made cellulosic fibre (MMCF), derived from wood pulp. It has a silk-like feel, fluid drape and comfortable breathability.
LENZINGª ECOVEROª fibres are recognised by CanopyStyle and EU Ecolabel certification as meeting high standards for environmental practice. This includes a low risk of sourcing raw materials from ancient or endangered forests, and the recycling of water and chemicals in the processing stages. In addition to closed loop practices, LENZINGª ECOVEROª aim to minimise the risk of pollution, through the cleaning of water before it is returned to nature, and engagement with ZDHC guidelines for safe chemical use. According to Higg's life cycle impact assessment data, LENZINGª ECOVEROª branded viscose fibres generate up to 50% lower emissions and water impact compared to generic viscose.
